Spring has finally arrived. This season is associated with change, making it a great time of year to provide an update on the planning events taking place across the City.

Planning and Development is a monthly e-newsletter that contains information about upcoming public consultations. It includes interesting features and updates on the projects responsible for shaping the City.

Spotlight: Western Light-rail Transit (LRT) open house draws a crowd at City Hall

Following the joint announcement between the City of Ottawa and the National Capital Commission's (NCC) 100 Day Working Group, an open house was organized on March 30 at City Hall. Residents were given an opportunity to provide feedback on the proposed alignment between Dominion and Cleary stations.

On April 22, we secured unanimous support for the Memorandum of Understanding. Significant progress was also made in addressing broader community issues.

The prefered solution is to position the Western LRT line underground, as illustrated below.
