March Break Adventures for Kids

March 14 to 18 offers a perfect opportunity to try something new, improve your sports skills and make new friends at the many day camps across the city. Days filled with physical activity, games, songs, crafts and special events, guarantee there will be no boredom in this city. Our qualified and certified staff are busily planning for exciting times in March.

 

March Break Arts Camps in the West!

What are your kids doing this March Break? Painting? Working with clay? Dancing, singing or performing on stage? Arts camps let them express their creativity helped by artistic professionals. Free before and after care available.

Winterlude Activities: January 29 to February 15

Enjoy free outdoor skating on the state of the art refrigerated Rinks at Ottawa City Hall and Lansdowne Park.
Activities will take place at Ottawa City HallLansdowne Park and Shenkman Arts Centre.

Hockey Day in Ottawa

On Saturday, February 6, from 1 to 3 pm, lace up your skates and take to one of the City's outdoor rinks for a sunny Saturday afternoon of fun. Enjoy a game of pick-up hockey, skating, and physical fitness while showing support for your community volunteers who work hard all winter to maintain your local rinks. Remember to dress appropriately for the weather and wear a helmet and applicable safety equipment. Let's show the rest of Canada what a city that lives and breathes hockey really looks like.

City of Ottawa Parks, Recreation and Culture Services programs are divided by language of instruction into two guides: the Recreation eGuide and Mon Cyberguide francophone des loisirs. Both will be available in PDF format online beginning Wednesday, February 17

In-Person Registration on Tuesday, March 8 during regular business hours.

What you need to know for registration.

Day Camp Leaders, Park Programmers and Lifeguards Needed

If you are energetic, responsible and people-oriented, apply for summer jobs with the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services team.  The City of Ottawa summer student employment campaign is underway until February 29.  Dust off your resume and look at the opportunities through the Summer Student Employment Program.

Qualified Lifeguard?

Are you looking for part time work and qualified to lifeguard and teach swimming lessons?  WE WANT YOU!  Apply on line at ottawa.ca/careers . Next water screening date is February 6 at Goulbourn Recreation Complex. For further information contact: aquaticshiringteam@ottawa.ca.
