It has been about seven months since Planning and Growth Management launched the Planning and Development e-newsletter.
I am so pleased to see the number of subscribers increasing week over week. People are interested and engaged which I feel will lead to us, building Ottawa better, together!
Mark your calendars! Building Better Connections is May 4, 2016. This will be our first combination forum and webinar. Those interested are invited to attend Ottawa City Hall in person or participate online.
I am very excited about this event which will feature John Campbell – a visionary planner who redefined the Toronto Waterfront. Mr. Campbell was the President and CEO of Toronto Waterfront Revitalization Corporation that undertook the largest urban revitalization project in North American history. The project was founded in the themes of deterring urban sprawl, promoting transit, enhancing design excellence, quality of life, and sustainability.
Following a question and answer with Mr. Campbell, our Planning staff will present a preview of two Planning Primer electives that are being created the Committee of Adjustment 101 and How to Present at a Standing Committee.
