| On Wednesday, March 27, City Council approved the burial of overhead hydro lines along Montreal Road. Specifically, the sections approved for burial are from North River Road to Palace Street and from Altha Avenue to L’Eglise Street for a total distance of approximately 900 metres.
The hydro burial is an important and significant undertaking that will impact the project schedule. The project team is currently working with Hydro Ottawa and other utility companies to determine the schedule impacts and when work will begin on Montreal Road. Additional information will be provided at an upcoming Public Information Session as outlined below.
